So many people I know are always complaining of lower back pain and tight shoulders from sitting all day. We're either standing or hunched over a desk and we hardly ever bend our backs in the opposite direction. So give this One-Legged Inverted Staff Pose a try. It's similar to the grounding backbend Inverted Staff pose, but you'll also feel this one in your hamstrings and hips.
Sanskrit Name: Eka Pada Viparita Dandasana
English Translation: One-Legged Inverted Staff Pose
Also Called: One-Legged Headstand Backbend
You can get into this pose from backbend or headstand. To find out how read more
I'm pretty sure if I tried this, I would cause myself some SERIOUS pain!

Well... you have to work up to that pose. I LOVE yoga! My husband and I have done yoga for about 4 years now, and I'll never stop. It keeps you so limber which helps everything. You should try some of the basic moves first, get a DVD or something. :)
I tried a class or two, but it wasn't really for me. It was a little too slow. I kind of need more fast-paced exercise classes. Pilates is still slow, but not as slow as yoga. I've heard it is really great for you, though! Maybe I'll try it again sometime soon, though. :-)
I'm pretty sure I'd be paralyzed if I tried this one.
Wouldn't dream of trying this without an instructor right by my side.
I took a yoga class, but we didn't do anything like this. It looks kind of painful!
I tagged you on my blog!
Yesterday was my third yoga class... let me tell you, it's hard!! We do this pose and I always feel unstable, like I am going to fall over... but I'm still so new at it, hopefully I'll get better!!
